Dead Air Works operates this data collection. Sharing never affects whether you can race.
What is sent
Performance summary. After you race, the game may send at most one report for that launch: game build, operating system, exact CPU and GPU model names, RAM size, display resolution, graphics quality, render scale, rendering API, course, and a summary of frame times. The frame summary includes a median, a 95th percentile, and a count of frames longer than 33 milliseconds. Frame caps and VSync can affect these times.
Usage counts. While you play, the game counts what you buy in the store, the kart, driver, paint, livery, rims, boost, skids, flag and tune you start each race with, the store items you look at, and the course and mode of each race you start and finish. It sends these counts in small batches, at most once every five minutes, from a menu.
Neither includes your name, Steam or game account, a device ID, driving inputs, or a frame-by-frame recording. Cloudflare receives the connection address to deliver and rate-limit each request; our database does not store it.
What is kept
Our API immediately turns CPU and GPU names into broader hardware families and performance tiers, and groups the other hardware and graphics settings into categories. It adds usage counts to totals per day and game version. It does not keep any original report or batch, exact CPU or GPU names, or anything that links one report or batch to another, so it cannot build a profile of you or your computer.
Performance totals are removed after 30 days and usage totals after 400 days. A total can still contain only one player's contribution on a quiet day, so we do not publish small totals. We use these totals only to improve the game, not for advertising or sale, and they are processed for us by Cloudflare and Supabase.
Why we may collect it
We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the game runs and is played, so that we can fix problems and decide what to make next. Because we keep only daily totals and nothing that identifies you, we think the effect on you is small, and you can switch it off at any time. If we ever want to collect anything that identifies you or tracks you over time, we will change this page and ask first where the law requires it.
Your choice
The launch notice shows the sharing setting, and in current builds it starts On. If the game cannot reach our policy service, sharing stays Off. Older builds start Off and send only the performance summary.
Open Settings → Anonymous data (called Share anonymous game data on the first-launch notice) to turn it On or Off. Off stops future reports and usage counts, and drops counts not yet sent. You can still use Send Feedback to share a specific problem yourself.
Deletion and questions
Reports and counts are added to daily totals without an account or device key, so we cannot identify and remove one person's past contribution. Those totals expire as described above. If you have a game account and want its data exported or deleted, or for any other question or privacy request, email [email protected].
